Sudden is building the next generation of peer-assisted video delivery for media, entertainment, sports, and gaming companies. We help reduce video delivery costs with software that works alongside your existing delivery infrastructure.

This documentation website is where we share integration guides, client references, operational guidance, and release notes for building with Sudden.

FAQ

How does Sudden work with my existing site?

Sudden adds a small browser-side client and service worker that run alongside your existing player and CDN. When enough viewers watch the same video, Sudden can share video data between browsers so less traffic needs to come from your CDN.

Does Sudden replace my CDN or player?

Sudden runs alongside your existing CDN and player. It only reduces how much data your viewers need from the CDN; your origin server and player configuration stay the same.

What happens if Sudden is unavailable or unsupported?

Playback falls back to your existing CDN path.

What streaming workflows are supported today?

Sudden supports HLS video on demand. See Compatibility for current browser and format support.

For setup instructions, see Getting started.
